The Homestead is a typical late Victorian Australian timber house featuring corrugated iron roofing and bullnose verandah. Our standard version of this doll house features tiled roofing - but the option of substituting corrugated iron roofing and dormer windows is available. The double hung windows and louvered shutters are characteristic of this style of house. Refinement was usually focused around the entrance - with the front door embellished with sidelights, a fanlight and half-glazing. Attic access is possible by inserting a right-angled staircase in the central room.

The 'Homestead' Dolls House comes in kit form and unpainted. However, the Windows, Shutters and Balustrade do come pre-painted so you will need to select the colours at the time of ordering. If you like the colour choice in the photo above simply proceed with the order online or by phone and we will supply the windows, shutters and balustrade painted in Homestead Dolls House Kit as per the photo.

Come in a flat pack box unassembled (1:12 scale). The kit comes with easy to follow instructions as well as nails and screws. The kit builder will need to supply wood adhesive, some solvent glue for window insertion and (if applicable) some contact cement to attatch the corrugated iron to the roof.
